We help Brazilian Jiu Jitsu athletes who want to perform at their best, roll pain-free, and get stronger on the mats
Athletes who are committed to improving their game and want a clear, proven plan to do it
Those who are already training but feel stuck, sidelined by injuries, or unsure what to focus on next
Grapplers who want to move better, recover faster, and build strength that actually translates to BJJ performance
Athletes who want a training plan that fits their life, so they can train hard, recover fully, and still enjoy life off the mats
We help grapplers train smarter, stay injury-free, and get stronger on the mats with a program that fits their life, so they can roll at their best without overtraining or burnout.
We do this through our flagship coaching system, built around my 3-step process:
Optimize Recovery → Master Fundamental Human Movements → Get Stronger
We help athletes build simple, repeatable routines, improve mobility and strength efficiently, and enjoy training without constantly feeling sore or sidelined.
By helping grapplers reach this level of performance, they can enjoy BJJ more, perform at their best, and take care of their bodies for years to come.

Dr. Evan earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, one of the leading medical institutions in the country.
Strength training has always been his foundation, kettlebells are his obsession, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has been central to his life since 2018. Earning his blue belt under Andre “Dedeco” Almeida remains one of his proudest accomplishments . Not just because of the rank, but because of what it represents: discipline, resilience, and long-term commitment.
But in February 2023, everything changed.
While squatting, he felt a sudden collapse deep in his lower back... a herniated disc.
The pain that followed was brutal. He couldn’t sit, couldn’t eat, lost 20 pounds, and honestly, he was embarrassed.
He thought, “I’m a physical therapist, I’m supposed to fix people. Not be the one lying on the floor, wrecked.”
That experience changed him, not just as an athlete, but as a clinician.
He deferred surgery, passed on injections, and declined medication.
Instead, he committed to rebuilding himself the same way he helps his patients: deliberately, patiently, and intelligently.
He started from ground zero: walking, eating better, sleeping more. He had to earn his way back to movement.
He wasn’t sure he’d ever train again.
But through that process, he gained something most providers never truly have: firsthand experience of what it means to lose your identity as an athlete and to rebuild it.
During this time, one client stood out, a grappler from his Jiu Jitsu gym who stayed consistent, trusted the process, and returned stronger.
That reinforced what Evan had always believed: the right approach to physical therapy doesn’t just reduce pain, it restores confidence, performance, and identity.
He realized there are two versions of himself: the version who trains Jiu Jitsu, and the version who doesn’t.
And he is at his best: mentally, physically, and professionally when he’s on the mats.
That’s when he made the decision to dedicate his career to serving the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu community.
Today, Dr. Evan is recognized as a trusted physical therapist for grapplers, helping athletes recover from injury, optimize performance, and continue training without limitation. His approach bridges the gap between rehabilitation and performance, combining clinical expertise, strength training principles, and deep understanding of the physical demands of Jiu Jitsu.
He has helped over 200 grapplers return to the mats, stay on the mats, and perform at a higher level.
Dr. Evan lives in Boston, MA with his wife, who helps run the business side of his practice.
Together, their mission is simple: help serious grapplers build resilient bodies so they can train for life.
When he’s not working with athletes, you’ll find him training at South Boston BJJ (AM class, primarily No Gi), working with his kettlebells, or exploring Boston’s food scene with his wife, friends, and family.
